In answer, we are offering a new set of programs and services deigned to ease some of the stresses surrounding budgets and staffing. These include subscription pricing and new IT services to complement our products. Subscription pricing provides a low-cost alternative to perpetual licensing. The way it works is that rather than a one-time upfront fee for the software, your company pays a low monthly fee. In this way it is like Software as a Service (SaaS). The subscription pricing includes support, so there is no need to pay a separate annual fee. Customers can now chose between subscription pricing or our traditional perpetual licensing plan, but the subscription plan may help you move your projects forward because of the much lower initial price.
Because subscriptions are often not included in capital expenditures, you may find it easier to get approval for your projects.
For customers who find themselves without the human resources to complete their projects, we’ve added services to help get the job done. We recently implemented an XML web services project using our Alliance XML/400 product to help a customer develop a new business opportunity.
